INTERCESSIONS
Christ is the image of the unseen God, the first-born of all creation, and the first to be born from the death. All things are to be reconciled through him because he made peace by his death on the cross. We pray to him:
R: Lord Jesus, come to us today.
We have been baptized into your death;-may we be cleansed of greed and envy, and clothed in the strength and gentleness of your love. R
We have been sealed with the Holy Spirit who has been given to us;-confirm us in your service, and help us to bear witness to you in the society in which we live. R
Before you suffered, you longed to eat the passover with your disciples;-as we take part in your eucharist, may we share in your resurrection. R
You continue to work in your faithful people;-create through them a new world where injustice and destruction will give way to growth, freedom and hope. R

OUR FATHER ...

CONCLUDING PRAYER
Lord God, bestow a full measure of your grace on us who are gathered here in prayer. As you work within us to keep us in the path of your commandments, may we receive consolation in this present life and eternal joys in the next. We make our prayer through our Lord. Amen.

INTERCESSION
God's love for us was revealed when God sent into the world his only Son so that we might have life through him. We are able to love God because he loved us first. And so we pray:
R: Lord, help us to love you and to love one another.
Jesus forgave the penitent woman her sins because she had love much;-may we too know his healing touch and love you with all our hearts. R
You look with compassion on the humble and contrite of heart;-in your goodness, turn our hearts to you and help us to do what we know to be right.  R
We acknowledge the suffering we have caused to others;-we ask forgiveness for our neglect and indifference. R
We ask you to remember tonight those who are in great difficulty;- give new heart to those who have lost their faith in man and in God, to those who seek the truth but cannot find it. R
Remember all those who put their hope in you while they live;-through the passion and death of your Son, grant them the remission of all their sins. R

OUR FATHER...

CONCLUDING PRAYER
God of power and mercy, who willed that Christ your Son should suffer for the salvation of all the world, grant that your people may strive to offer themselves to you as a living sacrifice, and may be filled with the fulness of you love. We make our prayer through our Lord. Amen.

See how weak we are, lost in tears; save us, O Mary!
Lighten our anguish; soothe our sorrows; pray for us!
Virgin, turn and look; Mother behold us; hear us, O Mary!
Thou art the bearer of health divine; pray for us!
May thy joys and thy sorrows be our help, O Mary!
In thee we hope; to thee we cry; pray for us!
